Building a strong community is good business

It’s a proven fact that when commercial revenue stays in the region, the region grows stronger. Bendigo Community Telco was created to capture everyday Telco expenditure that would normally leave our region. This means we are all able to play a role in enhancing the future of our community.

Further to this, we know it’s also important to support local community-based projects that help make our region the great place it is. This is why Bendigo Community Telco is a proud supporter of numerous community programs.

Community Carols

Our partnership with The Rotary Club of Bendigo, and the City of Greater Bendigo, to stage the Annual Community Carols Event, which has been a staple of Christmas in Bendigo for over 40 years, has seen the Christmas time sing-a-long, flourish into an iconic family event. As the major sponsor, we provide much needed funding towards the equipment and people power needed to pull off such an impressive showcase of local talent. During our association with the event, we have also taken a hands-on approach in assisting the committee with its event management processes. We hope to see you there this year, the last Sunday before Christmas!

Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival

Bendigo Community Telco is a proud supporter of the recently developed Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival. Colin Thompson and his committee have worked extremely hard to boost the live music scene in Bendigo at a grass roots level, and are inspired by the level of talent that this initiative has been able to draw. With the upcoming Festival scheduled for November this year, we are very pleased to offer our support to an event that will bring many fantastic performers to our town, help to inspire and motivate any ‘musicians in waiting’ to get out there and give it a go, and bring much needed tourism to our City. Bendigo Community Telco is proud to be one of the initial sponsors, and calls on other businesses to lend a hand and assist this fledging Festival to get on its feet.

Community Enterprises

Bendigo Community Telco not only supports community projects, it also partners with communities from Bendigo and surrounding areas to create revenue streams and enable communities to grow and develop their own initiatives. For full details click the individual links below.
